“We wanted once again to attract high-caliber speakers for 2026 who work with data on a daily basis and are willing to share their experiences openly,” says Sebastian Amtage, founder and managing director of b.telligent, the organizer of World of Data. “Our data event thrives on real-world insights and practical solutions taking the stage, not idealized wishful thinking.”
The first confirmed speakers for this year’s World of Data in Munich include:
- Yannick Franke, Head of the AI and Data Team at the German Press Agency (dpa)
- Simon Schmitt, Global Head of Data Excellence at Giesecke+Devrient
- Dr. Birgitta Wollherr, AI Ops Specialist and Master Data Scientist at Telefónica Germany
- Thomas Kronawitter, Head of Data-Driven Applications and Services at grenke
- Claudia Pohlink, Chief Data Officer and Director Data and AI at Fiege
- Sascha Riegenring, Head of Data and AI Foundations at Fiege
- Jonas Schröder, Data Scientist and Product Owner at OTTO
- Tim Wienböker, Head of Business Intelligence Team at Weidmüller
These speakers represent organizations with very different requirements when it comes to data, analytics, and AI. This diversity is exactly what World of Data has stood for for more than 12 years.
Focus on Practical Presentations and Exchange
World of Data is aimed at data leaders, analytics experts, and decision-makers who want to learn about current developments in the data market in a compact one-day format and exchange hands-on experiences. Networking in a familiar and informal setting at Munich’s Nockherberg venue plays a particularly important role at WoD. Around 40 presentations on data, analytics, and AI will be featured. In parallel, an exhibition of well-known technology partners will take place.
Catering is also included. Culinary refreshments are part of the ticket price, encouraging lively “data exchange” even during shared meals. The day concludes with an evening event, which is also included in the ticket or can be booked separately.
“World of Data is so popular because real discussions and meaningful conversations take place there every year,” says Klaus Blaschek, also founder and managing director of b.telligent. “We deliberately create a familiar atmosphere and provide time and space for exchange. I am especially looking forward to that again this year.”
