b.telligent has been able to open three new locations in recent months. In addition to the new branch in Basel, the company is expanding its sphere of activities by two countries, with Vienna and Cluj-Napoca, and is thus represented at a total of ten locations in Germany, Austria, Romania and Switzerland. The parent company is b.telligent Group Holding GmbH, also founded in 2022 and headquartered in Munich.
A successful year for the Basel location
"Our development at the Zurich location shows that demand for our services in Switzerland continues unabated and is even rising further. To expand our regional presence and also address promising specialists in the tri-border area, establishing the Basel location was a logical step," says Klaus Blaschek, who as one of the founders and managing directors of b.telligent set up the Zurich location. Having taken over as managing directors at b.telligent GmbH in Basel on 01.09.2021, Sandro von Ins and Caspar von Stülpnagel can now look back on a successful year: "Already in the first year, we were able to win important new customers such as Swissgrid AG, Nussbaum AG, Allgemeine Plakatgesellschaft AG, der AMAG Import AG and the Statistical Office of the Canton of Basel City" says von Stülpnagel. "Our team is also growing rapidly: 21 employees already represent b.telligent's location in northwestern Switzerland – and the trend is rising rapidly," adds von Ins.
Successful nearshoring in Romania
"Our customers are also noticing the increasing cost pressure of recent years," notes K-D Schulze, who has assisted the two founders Sebastian Amtage and Klaus Blaschek since 01.07.2022 as the third managing director of b.telligent Group Holding. "Nevertheless, we want to continue supporting them with the same quality they have come to expect from b.telligent." This will be possible thanks to the nearshoring approach and new founding of the Cluj-Napoca site in September 2022. "We have thus expanded our portfolio with an important component and are pleased that several customers are already taking advantage of this offer," says Schulze.
On site, Titus Mic manages the affairs of b.telligent Romania SAL. "For 2023, we want to set up teams in the areas of data engineering, cloud infrastructure and CloudOps, software development, AI & data analytics, in addition to acquiring Salesforce experts," says Mic. Romania is ideally suited as a location in the IT and consulting sector. Its 59 technical universities turn out an average of 9,500 IT graduates annually. 202,000 IT professionals are based in Romania – more than 16,000 software experts being active in Cluj alone, making Romania's second largest city the country's largest IT hub. "In addition, the IT sector and its 12,000 companies are seen by the government as a strategic sector and promoted accordingly," says Mic.
Vienna as location makes the DACH strategy perfect
To enhance its presence in the DACH market, b.telligent at the turn of 2022/2023 founded a new company, b.telligent Austria GmbH headquartered in the centre of Vienna. "Development of broad expertise with a local presence in Austria is very important to us to be able to ideally support customers there in our existent projects, and further expand our customer base," says Sebastian Amtage. As gateway to the eastern European market, Austria furthermore offers many opportunities for b.telligent and paves the way for continued expansion. For data and analytics experts from neighbouring countries, this location also offers easy and encouraging access to b.telligent, an opportunity which the company welcomes. The Viennese BI expert Alfred Haidenbauer has been entrusted with management of the Austrian location and will form the team on site in the coming months.
