Controller Congress 2018 in Munich

Progress instead of stagnation is the motto of the International Controller Association. This year too, the association's  43rd Controller Congress on 23rd and 24th April 2018 in The Westin Grand in Munich combines practical experience with the latest research results, the whole motto here being "Controlling on the move: Question – Rethink – Reconceive".

In the course of digitization, the guiding principle "question - rethink - reconceive" is crucial because of the new challenges posed to controlling by short investment cycles, constantly changing customer needs and disruptive business models. To be able to keep pace with these requirements, controllers need data which are relevant and meaningful for control. Digitization makes it necessary to act correctly and quickly, while retaining flexibility and initiative. This ultimately allows decisions and forecasts of corporate relevance on a solid foundation of data.

Controlling in times of digital transformation

This year too, the Controller Congress in Munich has exciting topics and presentations to offer, also with regard to digital transformation: "Sales controlling in future" or "Digital enterprise - Digital finance – What, please, is digital controlling?". The following topics are covered in addition to digital controlling:

  • What controllers can learn from the IFRS
  • Foresight in sales
  • Risk management in controlling, and much more!

Detailed information regarding the presentations and course of events at the congress can be found here. Also for young professionals, this year's congress has a special offer on the first day: Receive speed-coaching free-of-charge for 30 minutes and elucidate a professional theme of your choice.
