As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will take ownership of product features from the initial idea through implementation and delivery. You will work across backend and frontend technologies, build secure and performant APIs, develop customer-facing applications and contribute to software solutions that create real value.

At b.telligent, you will work with experienced engineers on challenging projects for customers across different industries. Based in Porto, you will become part of an international and collaborative engineering environment where you can contribute your ideas, take responsibility and continuously develop your skills.

In this role, you will closely work with and be an integral part of our partner company emnos for which you will deliver the services described here within.

It enables emnos to globally support joint, data-driven optimization of decisions in Category Management and Retail Media, mainly driven from clients’ consumer experience. The platform focuses on secure and efficient exchange of information and analysis between retailers and their suppliers, creating new business opportunities and revenue streams.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of software features from technical design and implementation through delivery and continuous improvement
• Develop backend services and business logic using Java, Kotlin or Node.js
• Build responsive, accessible and high-performance user interfaces with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Design, implement and integrate reliable REST APIs
• Connect internal services and third-party systems through robust integrations
• Design and maintain data models for relational databases
• Write efficient SQL queries and troubleshoot backend issues and performance bottlenecks
• Contribute to code quality, maintainability, testing and modern engineering practices
• Use Docker to ensure consistent local development environments
• Work with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, customers and other engineering teams
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable and user-focused technical solutions

Your profile

• Professional experience in full-stack software development or a comparable engineering role
• Solid backend development experience with at least one of the following: Java, Kotlin or Node.js
• Practical frontend experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Good knowledge of REST API design, integration patterns and web application architecture
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Docker and automated software delivery processes
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• A product-minded, proactive and solution-oriented approach
• The ability to take ownership while working effectively in a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Fluent English and Portuguese; German is an advantage
• A willingness to work in a hybrid setup in Porto
